Self-Portrait Alvin Lucier

Solo flute musician Barbara Held, improvises with a wind anemometer. Air flows from the lips of the flute and causes the blades of a wind anemometer to spin at various speeds,

as a single light source projects the shadows produced on the face of the performer.
